Local philanthropist donates thousands to Newstalk107.9’s Basket of Blessings

An East Idaho holiday charity drive received a major boost this week from a local philanthropist. Mark Radford donated eighty-five hundred dollars to Newstalk 107.9’s “Baskets of Blessings” program. The annual initiative provides holiday food baskets, packed with a complete meal and pantry staples, to families across the region who could use some extra support. Radford has been a key supporter of Newstalk 107.9’s charitable efforts since the station launched in 2020.

The radio station is also partnering with local businesses, including Eagle Eye Produce, Timberline Auto, and the Biggs Group brokered by LPT Realty, to help fill and deliver the baskets. Organizers say the community effort is a way for neighbors to help neighbors during the holiday season. Public donations are also being accepted through the non-profit Sandhill Rescue to help purchase items for families in need.
