House Speaker, Mike Johnson ordered the release of more than 40,000 hours of security Capitol Hill footage from January 6, 2020. He said, “we will begin posting video on a public website and move as quickly as possible to add to the website nearly all of the footage, more than 40,000 hours…This decision will provide millions of Americans, criminal defendants, public interest organizations, and the media an ability to see for themselves what happened that day, rather than having to rely upon the interpretation of a small group of government officials.” Requests for access to specific videos can also be made through the House Administration Committee.

Elon Musk is threatening to sue Media Matters because he claims the organization “completely misrepresented the real user experience on X” in an attempt to harm the social media platform by falsely representing the occurrence of ads next to pro-Nazi and white nationalist content.

If Idaho’s primaries are overhauled, the new system would allow candidates to misrepresent their party affiliation on ballots.
