The Wyoming Department of Transportation is building a temporary bypass around the landslide at the Teton pass. The build is intended to be a quick solution to allow traffic through the pass and avoid the two-hour detour through Alpine and Hoback. One Jackson city council member expressed concern about the safety of the quick build, but engineers say the traveling public will be safe and they are doing things deliberately for the bypass while geologists and engineers evaluate the area for a long-term plan to rebuild the road.
