Idaho Falls–Senator Risch recognized Rep. Barb Ehardt today at his Idaho Falls office for her fight to protect IX, ensuring safer and fair competition for female athletes. Risch stated that, “By recognizing the fundamental biological differences between men and women, Title IX allows each to pursue educational programs and activities equally, including athletics.” He thanked Ehardt for spearheading the Fairness in Women’s Sports Act, which preserves the original efficacy of Title IX’s intent to ensure women’s sports are a competitive and fair space for women’s and girls’ athletic opportunities.
