IDAHO FALLS–Former Senator and presidential candidate, Rick Santorum talks about the merits of the Convention of States to reign in federal overreach.
I have questions:
1. What makes anyone think that our runaway politicians, if given an open doors to change the rules, would come up with rules that limit themselves. I mean, any way you see a convention happening, it will absolutely be politicians that are delegates to a convention?
2. Does anyone actually believe that a convention can be or would be limited like the proponents claim?
3. Are there actually any good amendment ideas out there? I don’t agree with term limits or balanced budget amendments.
4. Who’s paying Rick Santorum to come to states like Idaho and advocate for this?
