(IDAHO FALLS)–Local postal carrier, Jack Burton who has serviced the area for 39 years is ready for a much-deserved retirement. Today is his last day working for the Idaho Falls Postal Office. In retirement, he plans to enjoy family, friends, community, raising his small son, and riding his Harley motorcycle.
As the saying goes, “Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail shall keep the postmen from their appointed rounds”. Jack never failed to bring a smile with the mail, no matter the weather. His years of cheerful service made him a beloved feature of daily life for those who interacted with him as he made deliveries to homes and offices. Described as kind, friendly and genuine, Jack will be missed by those who were on his route.
