Senior citizens and their families often face the task of finding services to suit senior’s specialized needs. To help make it easier to find those services, Fairwinds-Sand Creek senior living in Idaho Falls is hosting a senior services fair and inviting the public. Synergy Home Health, Senior Solutions, Norco, Assure Link, and Fairwinds will have booths with information. The focus is on helping the community know what resources are available and answering questions about medical equipment, devices and services. Synergy Home Health will also introduce the Elliq (pronounced L-E-Q) AI companion robot, Idaho’s first AI companionship robot being used in a caregiving setting. Elliq offers seniors companionship by proactively interacting with them, giving them reminders, suggestions, and opportunities for virtual interaction with other people who have an Elliq robot. Those who attend the senior services fair will have the opportunity to nominate a senior to have a free Elliq robot in their home. The senior services fair is Saturday, April 12 at 2pm, Fairwinds – Sand Creek 3310 Valencia Dr., Idaho Falls, located just off Sunnyside Road behind Clean Juice.
