(STATEWIDE) – According to data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Idaho is one of 15 states that has still yet to fully vaccinate at least half of all residents.


Eastern Idaho Public Health reports that as of 95,439 people in the health district are fully vaccinated. There are 1,460 breakthrough cases that appeared an average of 156 days from completing the vaccine. There have been 62 fully vaccinated people who have been hospitalized for COVID-19, and there have been 13 COVID-19 related deaths among those who have been fully vaccinated.


Nationwide, federal health data reports that the rate of boosters being administered is outpacing the rate of initial inoculations. First doses account for only about 25% of the close to 813,000 daily doses being administered. The state of Idaho reports that 896,218 people have received the vaccine, and 1,637,213 total doses have been administered. 807,517 people are fully vaccinated.
